Welcome to Church View Bed and Breakfast, by York

Located in the pretty village of Stockton on the Forest, just 4 miles from the historic city of York, our 200 year old former farmhouse is tastefully decorated yet retains its old world charm. A bus service runs into York and the East Coast every 30 minutes. Our cosy lounge overlooks the village church where you can relax and enjoy a real fire, watch TV or listen to music. All rooms have TV and hospitality tray. We have a romantic en suite four poster room with a lace draped bed and a family room overlooking the church, which has one double and one single bed. It can be booked as a twin room or an extra bed can be added to sleeps 3 - 4 persons. The ground floor family room is ideal for those who cannot manage stairs and is situated away from the other rooms (perfect for those with children). The room has king size bed, 2 single beds plus 2 extra singles if required, comfortably sleeping 6.

Breakfast includes cereal, fruit juice, toast and a full English breakfast. Produced with local produce and fresh eggs, it is served to satisfy a hearty appetite. Special diets can be catered for if given advance notice. An evening meal can also be ordered in advance. Alternatively, the nearby Fox Inn serves good food.

Stockton on Forest is located off the A64 York to Scarborough Road where you will see a sign into the village. Alternatively we are off the A1036 road, just off the A64. The village lets you enjoy the pleasure of the countryside with local village pubs. There is access to a golf course, pretty countryside walks and only a short drive into York itself. A bus runs every 30 minutes to and from York, calling at the Railway Station.
