The room was extemely clean and comfortable but the tap was loose in the bathroomm and the glass shelf sloped so things fell off. The TV was also very basic with only 4 channels and no teletext.
The owner was very professional and breakfast was excellent with a very good choice of food available. All in all good value for money and would stay again.
Location
Only a short drive to Cambridge centre with all the attractions and a pub at the end of the road serving decent food.

Great experience... nice folks and very nice rooms. A bit out of town center but not too bad... bus stops directly in front! Would definitely stay there again.

This was very good value for money and we would certainly go back. The room was comfortably furnished, with a large bed and good quality bedlinen. There was unlimited piping hot water and adequate bedside lighting for late night reading - essential for us and not always provided. Facilities for tea and coffee making were ideal, and a variety of biscuits available.
Breakfast was really good, served by the owners, who were both extremely hospitable.
Location
The location was ideal for us, on the right side of town for my husband to get off to Newmarket races and the bus service into Cambridge was convenient and frequent for me. There is a pub at the end of the road, within easy walking distance, where good food is served at reasonable prices.
When in Cambridge I particularly enjoyed the open-topped buses with tours which last well over an hour - you can get on and off if you wish. Very good value for money, with recorded information which was excellent.
Cambridge is a delightful city to just walk around.

The room was small, yet practical. An excellent breakfast and very good service.
I would highly recommend Alder Lodge as excellent value for money.
Location
Ideally located for easy aqccess to Cambridge Centre or the Science Park for business.

room was very clean and neatly done.
Location
although it is a bit away from the city centre (15-20 mins by bus) but it is situated just opposite the bus stop. the frequency of the buses is very good (every 10 minutes). Overall its a nice place to stay in. There aren't many restaurants around that place.
