the room was a good size and was located in a good place. the breakfast was delicious and a great size, the staff were very friendly. I think the b&b is a great, However for the whole time I was there ,they didn't change the bedsheets ones. I think having a small microwave and staff to clean the room and change the bed sheet would have made a great different.
But with these changes made the B&B will be brilliant.
Location
the b&b is about 15 mins walk to the information centre which is packed full of information of York's attractions. it's about 8 mins away from the gallery and apart of York's wall, where you can get the city sightseeing bus and a few more mins from the York minister. Great location.

room nice but not keen on having the hand basin in the bedroom. Clean guest house nice and friendly. We asked for a few items to be removed from our breakfast but did not get more of anything else so breakfast very small.
Location
attended york races and had a lovely meal in Oscars restaurant in the shambles.

Location
Well situated, just short walk into city centre. Great pubs especially the yorkshire terrier, good for real ale fans. Aslo had dinner at Maisons Bar and restaurant, excellent.

Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom somewhat small, although as we found out later in our trip throughout Britain that this is not uncommon. Staff were friendly enough. Although we did not have a car, it did not appear to have private parking facilities. There is a steep staircase to the top floor which would not be suitable for those with difficulty walking. Breakfast options were good, as was the food. The B & B is on a quiet street, a short taxi ride from the train station.
Location
This property is within walking distance (10 - 12 minutes) of the old city (the area within the wall) and about 15 minutes walk from York Minster, well worth the visit and the main reason we stayed in York. There are numerous restaurants and pubs in the old city and excellent shopping. Bus tours are available to show tourists the city's highlights (and recommended to orient you to the city).
