The Coach House is an excellent value for the price. Stewart and Clare (proprietors)are gracious and most hospitable. The individual rooms are clean, nicely and recently decorated, quite comfortable, and homey. My room was a very generous-sized ensuite single. The price includes either a continental or cooked English breakfast. Both were substantial, and Clare is an excellent cook. Internet access is included in the price. The Coach House is also wired for WiFi.
Location
The Coach House is situated in a close-in location inside the ancient walled city of Canterbury, making it convenient to the historic attractions, the Cathedral and related sites, restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and transportation (bus station). Proximity to the archaelogical sites within Canterbury made the Coach House a "best buy" for me.

The room was spacious and clean. The only drawback in my opinion was that our bathroom was not exactly adjoining. However, I understand that thet is due to the fact that the hotel is housed in a traditional building.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Location
Canterbury is such a quaint town full of historic attractions. We felt safe and could go around on foot.
