very good value for money. very clean and great breakfast.nice walk down to lake but hard walk back but a taxi was only £3.Realy nice place to stay

The room was adequate size for what we needed, and the en suite was spacious. Perfect for one or two nights last minute stay! The brekkie was amazing!

Location is good... 15 min walk to bowness and 2 min walk to Windmere.

Everything from the hospitality to the value and standard was outstanding. This is so very hard to find in UK these days. We were truly blessed to have picked Beckside, and take back home to South Africa great memories, of the Lake District, the people and Beckside Cottage. We shall surely recommend you to others back home who are about to embark on an overseas holiday to the UK. Thank you. Mr. & Mrs. McJarrow

Good value,pleasent propeiters,excellant breakfast and a nice relaxing break

Our trek up to catbells and beyond was truely magnificent. We found eating out in Windermere quite expensive but if you eat on the outskirts it's more reasonable.

The room was comfortable, but a little small. The en suite bathroom was enormous. Breakfast was very good, one of the best we had in England this trip. The hosts were very welcoming and informative about local activities. A very good experience all round.
