Ellenborough House is one of the best B&B homes where we have stayed, in the UK (and there are many). The wonderful hospitality and friendliness of owners truly added to the experience. We were able to leave a bag there for 2 weeks, while we traveled elsewhere, and that was a definite bonus. The room and facilities were very comfortable, clean, large and we do like having an electric jug in the room (with tea supplies, as well). Plus, breakfast was ample and delicious. It's a wonderful place to stay in Southampton.
Location
The Southampton Maritime Museum was a noted attraction that we enjoyed. The area has a long history as a busy port and the added information re the Titanic was interesting.
The shopping area offers a good variety of shops, restaurants and parks..... pleasant atmosphere.
