Melrose has spacious bedrooms with doubles, twins, triples and family rooms all available. There is also one single room and one ground floor room. All rooms have either en suite facilities or a private bathroom, with TV, hair dryers, alarm clocks and complimentary tea/coffee trays and toiletries. On the lower ground floor, there is a small suite of rooms ideal for a family of 4.

Ambleside is situated in the centre of the Lake District National Park and at the hub of its road system. Practically everywhere within the Park can be reached within one hour's drive. Many fine scenic walks start from Ambleside, which is 1 mile from the head of Lake Windermere. Guests are welcome to use the Low Wood leisure facilities which are located close by, with passes subject to availability.
