Ideally situated within easy walking distance of the villages of Windermere and Bowness on Windermere, our attractive Victorian residence provides comfortable guest house accommodation with ferry access to Ambleside and beyond. The region of Cumbria is a walker's dream that offers ambling strolls to longer, more scenic fell walks, some of which are on our doorstep. Prices from: £25 per person/night

Retaining lots of Victorian character, we have 7 guest rooms with en suite facilities. There is one Four Poster room, one Family Room and 5 Double Rooms. Each room is equipped with TV, tea/coffee mmaking facilities, hairdryers and central heating. Wine glasses and a cork screw are also available. Three of our bedrooms are on the ground floor.

A full grilled English breakfast is served in our dining room with a good choice of cereals, fruit, and juice from our buffet table. We use fresh produce of quality and can cater for all special diets with prior notice. Check-in: Please note we don't accept arrivals after 9pm unless arranged prior to arrival.

WiFi and free internet access for checking emails during your stay. We have free parking although it is not guaranteed, but there is ample free parking in the immediate area. Free leisure facilities are available at a nearby Country Club in Bowness. We are a non-smoking guest house.

The villages of Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere both offer a fantastic variety of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets. Local attractions include the World of Beatrix Potter, the Windermere Steam Boat and Museum, and, in nearby Grasmere, Wordsworth's Rydal Mount and Dove Cottage.
