Situated 5 minutes from central Ambleside in Cumbria, our traditional English Lake District property was originally built as two semi-detached properties
in around 1890
and has been totally refurbished in a unique and contemporary style. Most of our guests like to leave their cars in our large private off-road car park for the length of their stay, and enjoy the many local walks, cafes, restaurants and bars. Prices from: £35 per person/night
We have 21 guest rooms, including standard, superior, twin, triple, family (sleeps 3 - 5) and 4 poster suites. The bedrooms have king size beds, TV, DVD (excl. standard rooms) tea/ coffee making facilities and are en-suite with Jacuzzi spa bath and showers over. Our Four Poster suites overlook the front with superb Lakeland views across to the churchyard and fells beyond. Ground floor rooms are available.

Our wireless network allows guests to connect their laptops to our Broadband Internet connection from most rooms and a PC is also available in the lounge area. We are a non smoking establishment but there are rooms which have their own external access to a covered seated area for those wishing to smoke.
Private parking. Pet Friendly guest house. Use of local leisure facilities. Mountain bike lock-up. Laundry facilities. Drying space in our boiler room for walkers' clothes.

Brathay Lodge is only a short walk to Lake Windermere and the lake steamers. We are within a few minutes walk of over thirty restaurants/eateries and over ten pubs/bars. There are tennis courts and miniature golf directly opposite with various 9 & 18 hole golf courses within 35 minutes drive. Ambleside makes an ideal holiday base to explore the National Park, being at the crossroads of the North South and East West roads.
You will find Brathay Lodge a pleasant, warm and friendly place where you can enjoy talking with the staff or relax with peace and quiet - whatever you require.
