Situated right on the edge of the unspoiled Cornish village of St.Agnes, Penkerris Guest House is an enchanting Ewardian residence with a lawned garden and ample parking. There are glorious fields on one side of the house with both shops and pubs just around the corner. Only 8 miles from Truro, St Agnes is central for touring Cornwall with dramatic cliff walks, beautiful beaches and excellent surfing only ten minutes walk away (1km). Penkerris has comfortable double, twin or triple bedrooms, 4 of which have en suite facilities. All rooms have TV, clock radio, kettle, tea making facilities and shaver points. We also have two nice bathrooms, a big shower room and an attractive little room with a kitchenette. There is a bright cosy lounge with a large TV, video, DVD, a piano and a log fire for the winter.

Meals are served in the beautiful dining room with its moulded ceiling, portraits, blue glass and copperware. Breakfast includes freshly baked bread from the village bakery, our butcher's home made sausages and freshly caught fish. We have a liquor licence and can supply wine to have with dinner or beers to drink in the garden. Guests can also use the barbecue, picnic tables and swings for the children.

Penkerris is within walking distance of 3 beaches. Chapel Porth (pictured above) is magnificent with soft sand, craggy cliffs, huge caves and deep pools. There is also a nice little beach café with toilets.

Trevaunance Cove is only 1km away and is good for surfing whilst Trevellas cove offers total relaxation. Penkerris is also within walking distance of the most wonderful dramatic cliff walks and the whole area is steeped in the history of Cornwall's tin and copper mining. St Agnes is only an hour from Lands End, St Michaels Mount, Tintagel and the Eden Project. There is a bus every hour to Truro which is a bustling market town with good shops, a fine Cathedral, river walks and the Royal County Museum.
